Emote Design and Video Production
YEAR: 2021 - 2022
On top of my tertiary education, I’ve also become involved in the content creation industry by helping streamers produce videos, live streams and designing ‘emotes’ to be used on their Twitch platforms. I am currently a producer for the channel jbone135 - a gaming streamer and content creator who primarily focuses on horror games like Dead By Daylight and Amnesia. My role has included the need to edit live streams for highlight videos, editing prerecorded videos, creating graphics and overlays to used in the videos, thumbnails and managing the YouTube channel by creating consistent uploads and engagement.
I’ve also used my graphic design skills to create emotes for multiple Twitch streamers. These emotes are used in chat as a way to help people express emotion, build engagement with the audience, promote the streamer when used in other streams and create a unique atmosphere and look for each streamer. These jobs have helped my build my technical skills in using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Media Encoder as well as YouTube Studio and Procreate.
